A year later of the band’s hiatus, he was a contestant during season 18 of Dancing with The Stars.
On 2015 James released his first single Lies, a couple of months later he released his second single called Circles.
That same year, he participated on a role for a tv movie titled Seeds of Yesterday, which is part of the saga Flowers in the Attic.
During 2017 he participated on multiple movies, 48 Hours to Live, It Happened One Valentine's and Art Show Bingo.
His first debut album titled How I Like It was released on March 2017.
On 2018, he had a role on two more movies Bachelor Lions and Room for Murder. Also on this year he released two singles, Falling and All Day.
His more recent film projects on 2020 are still in process to be released.
Later on July 2020 he put out a song titled History along with a new musical duo called LTX.
